INOU Learning Hub, Townsend Street

We opened the INOU Learning Hub doors to our Shaping Futures and Building Futures learners in September 2021 and what a great year we have had. With Covid regulations in place, we were able to deliver all our classes face to face even if our faces were covered by masks! Now that the year is coming to an end and both groups are heading out to do their work experience, we are getting ready to welcome our next group of learners to the centre.  

It was a challenging year in terms of Covid, however, it was due to the dedication and commitment of the LTI Coordinators, the Training Administrator and most importantly the learners on both the Shaping Futures and Building Futures programmes that the year was so successful. Even in the midst of a pandemic, the learners had the opportunity to visit galleries, museums and educational workshops all of which enriched their experience. We would like to wish each and every one of the learners the best of luck in the future and as we always say – ‘our door is always open so don’t be a stranger’!

We have now started our recruitment process for our September 2022/2023 intake. As part of the recruitment process, we run 2 hour workshops to give participants more information about the programmes such as weekly training/travel/meal/childcare allowances, modules and additional elements. During the workshops participants will have the opportunity to engage in some sample activities to experience how we might deliver a typical lesson during the programmes. They will also have the opportunity to listen to past learners’ experiences of being on the programmes. After the workshops we invite participants, should they wish to; to come along for an informal interview.
