Regional Discussion Forums 2024
So far this year we held three Regional online Discussion Forums in 2024.
These were held in April/May (9th and 23rd April and 8th May). We plan to hold further Regional online Discussion Forums in October and November.
April and May Discussion Forums
The two themes for the April/May Regional Discussion Forums centred on the means testing element of social welfare payments.
Bríd O’Brien, our Head of Policy and Media provided a presentation ‘Means Testing Social Welfare Payments: Policy Challenges'.
Robbert Lynch, Manager of our Welfare Rights Section presented on ‘Social Welfare Payments – Exploring Means testing for Allowance based schemes and some of the operational anomalies that occur’.
