The two-hour session will primarily focus on accessing payments and dealing with issues surrounding the four main Disability payments, Disability Allowance, Invalidity Pension, Illness Benefit and, when taking-up work, Partial Capacity Benefit. The module will provide detailed information on understanding the process for making a Disability Payment claim.

The module centres on navigating the welfare to work journey for people in receipt of disability payment and will comprehensively explore the different aspects of a person on a disability payment taking-up work, including Earnings Disregards and part-time and full-time work implications.

Gerry McCaughey, the INOU’s Information Officer, will deliver this online training programme.

Gerry will also present some Case Studies to illustrate the effect on household income of taking-up work. In addition to the in-depth presentation, Gerry will also be factoring time for discussion, clarification, and questions.
