This 2 hour online training will focus on the processes and procedures which underpin the social welfare system and crucially, deepen participant’s awareness of potential difficulties before they arise and how to best resolve these.
Some of the topics covered on the online training course will include: the process for decision-making in Social Welfare, understanding how the operational guidelines can resolve problems, why Reviews can be the win-win mechanism to resolve issues and understanding when and why to use the appeals process.
We believe that a greater understanding of how the Social Welfare system operates will be invaluable for staff who, as part of their work, provide supports to people who receive Social Welfare payments.
We will draw on our in-depth experience to provide practical tips and advice that will be very useful in preventing potential problems from arising and dealing effectively with them when they occur.
